Our story began in 1894 when Charles A. Cross and Charles Abbott founded the Cross-Abbott Company, a small grocery wholesaler in White River Junction, Vermont. Fast-forward seventy years—the Cross-Abbott Company has grown into the most sophisticated wholesale and retail food distribution business in New England.

1965
1984

Then in 1965, A.W. Cunningham, Sr., President of Cross-Abbott, realized technology will be the engine that powers opportunity. A visionary, A.W. purchases one of the first mainframe computers in North America, and Computac is born.

1986

Over a century later, and still headquartered in West Lebanon, NH, Computac employs enterprise architect and software architects, data base engineers and network administrators, as well as marketing and creative directors, sales and support professionals.

1998

Roadvision trucking software helps carriers across North America run forward-thinking LTL trucking businesses. As partners, we are future focused on advancing a connected LTL trucking industry using cost sustainable technology.

2004

2018

In 2018 Computac launched Shire Digital, a full service marketing agency located in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire. Shire Digital creates authentic digital marketing strategies specific to the unique needs of their clients. Shire's services include Search Engine Optimization, Pay-Per-Click Strategy, Inbound Marketing, Graphic Design, Content Creation, Social Media, Photography, Video Production and Web Design and Development.
